Why are peppers bad for you

Bell peppers, hot peppers, any kind of sweet pepper.  Aren’t they good for you?  Not necessarily.  Why are peppers bad for you and your health?

Eating Fruits and Vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables have always been a goal of mine.  I’ve always loved fruit but when it comes to vegetables, it’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just that I don’t put as much effort into it.  I’m not sure exactly why that is but it probably has a lot to do with the fact that they aren’t as sweet as fruit.

In addition, if you’re not eating it raw – like you so easily can do with fruit – there’s some effort to cook the vegetable.  True, I can eat the vegetables raw and that is the best way to do it for most of them.  I guess I’m just trying to find excuses for my behavior.  Hey, I’m not perfect, OK?

Anyways…Any kind of vegetable, including peppers is good for you, right?  Well, yes but there is a reason why peppers can be bad and I’ll give you one reason why are peppers bad for you.

Nonorganic peppers can be bad for you because they contain toxins that could harm your health.  This is according EWG from the healthline website.  So, eating peppers that are not organic can be bad for you.   That’s why you should always choose organic.  Make sure you are buying organic.  There’s always a PLU number on the vegetable and if it is a 6 digit number starting with a 9, you’re OK.  But, if it’s a 4 digit number, it’s not organic and you should think twice about eating that pepper.
