National Hot Fudge Sundae Day 7/25/23

It’s Tuesday, July 25 and that means Today is National Hot Fudge Sundae Day!  How fun!  I’m always talking about acne and with that, we have to talk about what we are eating.  We’ll get into that in a bit but let’s first remember that we should enjoy life.  That means that we can have a treat now and again but it should be in moderation.

So, how will you celebrate National Hot fudge sundae day?  Will you have a traditional hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, chopped nuts, whipped cream and a cherry?  Or, will you go with something less traditional like coffee ice cream with hot fudge only?  Maybe mint chocolate chip or even strawberry?  Whatever you choose, enjoy it.  Life should be enjoyed.  You don’t have to have a large sundae – a small will do.  Trust me when I tell you that you will enjoy it all the same.

But, now that we got that out of the way, I do want to remind you that when you know what you are putting into your body and you realize the effect it has both on the inside and out, you will make better choices.  That’s why a small sundae is fine.

Diet and Acne

You may be surprised to find out that your acne problems aren’t from the foods you are eating.  What’s really happening is that the foods are contributing to inflammation in your body and it’s the inflammation that is causing the acne.  This is why a healthy diet is key.  Eat well, enjoy a treat now and again and enjoy life.  You don’t have to be so strict that you can’t enjoy a delicious treat now and again.
