What moisturizer is right for me
You may be afraid to use moisturizer if you have oily skin. If you’re looking for one, you’re probably wondering what moisturizer is right for me?
Moisturizer for dry skin
If your skin is dry, you already know moisturizer is important. The older we get, our skin can become drier so we need to moisturize. Maybe you are using the wrong moisturizer and you’re thinking what moisturizer is right for me?
For dry skin, something that has some body to it, like shea butter is great. If you are dry and acne prone, don’t use this. Instead, use glycerin. This is because shea butter or even coconut oil will only clog pores and cause more acne. If you’re acne prone, stay away from the thick stuff and go with something lighter that won’t clog pores and cause breakouts.

Moisturizer for oily skin
For those of us that are oily, hyaluronic acid is great! I will tell you though that there is a cheaper option. That option is glycerin, which as you now know, is great if you’re acne prone. But, either hyaluronic acid (HA) or glycerin is fine. You choose.
What moisturizer is right for me?
So, as you can see, it’s normal to wonder, ‘What moisturizer is right for me’? When you know what products to use, you can manage your skin better. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.
Other options, in addition to moisturizer, are face oils. These a great, especially in the winter – when skin can get quite dry. For any skin type, I like oils like carrot seed oil or sea buckthorn oil. Neither of these will cause acne or clog pores. You can either find a product that contains these ingredients or you can buy the actual oil. For me, I just use the actual oil and I love it.
