Perfect PEDICURE Tips…9 steps to a perfect pedicure

Foot callouses and cracked heels are embarrassing so get your perfect pedicure tips here.  No matter what time of the year, you still need to have proper foot care.  Plus, it will make you feel better to know your feet are as perfect as can be.

No one wants rough skin anywhere on their body but it is especially a problem for your feet and heels.  You need a good foot scrub and callous remover.  Some people use the age old pumice stone or a foot grater.  I find that it doesn’t work for me.  I much prefer this strategy to get smooth feet with a foot file.

Steps to perfect pedicures at home…this will help you remove foot calluses – whether you have one callus or more!  These Perfect Pedicure tips will be invaluable to you!  So, how do you do a pedicure?  Here is a step by step process to give yourself a great pedicure plus some information on callus removers:

  1. Remove any existing nail polish.
  2. Soak your feet in warm water about 10 minutes.  You may consider adding some milk to help soften callouses.  Pat your feet dry.
  3. Clop toenails straight across.  Be careful not to round out the nail too much as this encourages ingrown toenails.  (It’s best to cut straight across.)
  4. Use your Nutt So Ruff Foot bar, which is a gentle exfoliating bar soap, just as you would any foot file to remove any rough parts from your feet. *
  5. Rub a little oil on your cuticles.  Try baby oil or some olive oil.
  6. Push back your cuticles.  Be careful.  Tip:  if any part of the nail is yellowing, try a bit of lemon juice.
  7. Apply moisturizer like shea butter to your feet – but make sure that you dry your feet well before moisturizing.
  8. Massage your feet.
  9. Polish toes first with a clear basecoat.  Then, apply your first coat of color.  Wait a few minutes and then apply a second coat.  Waiting another few minutes, apply a top coat.  Allow to dry for at least an hour before putting socks or shoes on.
