Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her

Ah, the dreaded Valentine’s Day.  For those of you stressing out about a gift for your valentine, here are my top affordable gifts for Valentine’s Day gifts for her!

What is Valentine’s Day?

Valentine’s Day always falls on February 14 every year, no matter what day it is.  For example, this year 02/14 falls on a Monday.  This day is known for love and romance.  It’s a day that you can show your love for your significant other.  But you don’t have to wait until Feb. 14 of every year to do this – of course, you can show your partner every day of the year!   Since it’s coming up and you’re probably thinking what you can get for your Valentine!  I have good news for you because you can show your affection in so many small ways.  Below are my top affordable picks for Valentine’s gifts!

My top picks for Valentine’s Day Gifts for her

One of my top choices for gifts is Chocolate covered strawberries.  You can always buy them already made, but that’s not necessary – especially since they can be pricey.  Instead, you can make them yourself and I’ll tell you step by step how to do it!  You only need 2 ingredients:  Strawberries (or any fruit) and chocolate!!!

  1. Find the freshest and biggest strawberries you can find, plus chocolate chips.  Ensure to refrigerate them until you are ready to make your strawberries but do not make them too far in advance because the strawberries won’t hold up for a long time.  These are meant to be made about a day before gifting.
  2. When it’s time to make them, wash and dry your berries.  I dry mine with a paper towel or clean kitchen towel.  Set aside to dry further so you can work on your next step.
  3. Cut a piece of wax paper and place on the counter.  You’ll need this shortly.
  4. It’s time to melt your chocolate.  You can either do this in the microwave (on low) or on the stove.  If you do it on the stove, heat up some water in a pot then place a large bowl over the pot – just above the water line of the pot.  You don’t want the bowl to touch the water.  Pour in your chocolate chips and start stirring – the heat will melt the chocolate chips.
  5. Once melted, dip the strawberries – you can dip a little or a lot.  Place the dipped strawberries on the way paper to dry.
  6. If you’re really ambitious, you can melt some white chocolate and drizzle this over the dried chocolate covered strawberries.  You don’t even need a piping bag.  All you need to do is take a spoon and kind of flick it over the berries.  It will look really cool, trust me!
  7. And that’s it!  Easy peasy!

My second top pick is a pedicure.  Again, you can always purchase a pedicure package from a local salon, but you can also buy a Foot scrub bar.  – Another affordable way to help your valentine get perfect, callus free feet!  Or, you may consider a Salty Scrub!  Either way, you’re a winner!!!
