Raw honey is amazing and because it contains the pollen and propolis, it is great for acne suffers.  So, here are the 3 reasons honey is good for acne:

  1. It’s a great moisturizer because it is a natural humectant.  Humectants draw moisture to the skin.
  2. Raw honey helps with wrinkles because of its anti-aging properties.
  3. Because of the pollen and propolis, it is antimicrobial (helps with infections) and it is anti-inflammatory so it can be helpful for people who suffer from acne because it can kill the bacteria stuck in pores.

Honey for Face – how to use

Using honey for your face is so easy.  All you have to do is first wash your face like you normally would with a gentle cleanser.  Then apply the honey.  You don’t need to add anything at all.  Just use the raw honey.  Leave on for no more than 15 minutes and then rinse it off.  Do this about once per week and see how wonderful your skin looks and feels.

A note about allergies

Yes, sadly some people are allergic to bees, which is where honey comes from.  If you happen to be allergic to bees, you will want to stay away from honey unfortunately.  If you are allergic to pollen, you will also want to stay away from honey for your skin care needs.
