Flip flop season

Flip flop season

It’s finally Spring AND flip flop season is finally here!  The nicer weather may have been a long time coming – let’s get our feet in flip flop shape!

Flip flop season is finally here

One of the last things on our minds over the past 6 months was caring for our feet.  And, who’s to blame?  It was such a cold winter, we only wanted to keep our warm socks on them – covering up our feet so no one saw them for all those cold months!

Foot calluses

Now, we have to deal with foot callouses.  Now that the weather is finally warming up and we’re shedding some layers, we are finding our feet too embarrassing to show because of the foot calluses.  It’s time to give our feet some attention – and fast!

Now is the perfect time to work on those tootsies!!!  If your feet have been neglected for a few months, don’t despair.  Just start again!  If your feet are extremely dry from lack of care, we can bring them back!  Start your exfoliation routine once again and by the time you are wearing flip flops consistently, you won’t be embarrassed to show those feet!

Trust me – you have time to get your feet back in shape.  Right now, the weather is up and down.  One day it will be beautiful and the next rainy.  Use this time to rejuvenate your feet…pamper them to get them ready for the warm, sunny days ahead – those days that you’ll be at the pool or walking in the park with your flip flops.  Start now and you’ll be glad you did…but start now because you’ll be wearing flip flops consistently in no time!!

Exfoliating calluses

If you have thick calluses on your feet, it can be discouraging to get them removed, especially if they are extra thick.  Callous stubbornness is a pain.  But, have no fear.  I’ll give you the exact steps to get those feet, including your heels, smooth once again!

3 Easy Steps to remove foot calluses

What do you need for a pedicure at home?

  1. Get some warm water in a tub and soak your feet for about 10 minutes.  If you add milk, it can help soften calluses.  After 10 minutes, remove your feet and pat dry.
  2. Use your Nutt So Ruff foot scrub on your calluses and rub firmly but gently.  Don’t worry, your Nutt So Ruff foot scrub is very gentle (it does not contain the nut shell) – it has the perfect amount of gentle exfoliant for those tough areas!
  3. Apply your favorite moisturizer to your feet but make sure your feet are completely dry.  I like to use shea butter.

That’s it!  Depending on how thick your calluses are, you may need several treatments to get your feet ready for flip flop season.  If you want to give yourself the perfect pedicure in 9 easy steps, click the link to get the steps and don’t worry about flip flop callus anymore!

Frequency of pedicure

How often should you give yourself a pedicure?  A pedicure feels so good.  It’s especially nice when someone else is doing it for us; however, that can get expensive and time consuming.  This is why doing your own pedicure in between professional treatments is a good idea.  It’s going to depend on a few things, namely:

  1. How well you treat your feet.
  2. Personal preference.
  3. Upcoming events.

If you treat your feet well, you could probably do a pedicure every other month or so.  For example, if you don’t walk outside barefoot, your feet won’t need the extra attention every month.  But, if you love to sit, relax, and pamper yourself, once a month or even once a week is fine.  Lastly, if you have an upcoming event and your feet need some attention, you may need to give yourself a pedicure once a week until the event.  And, being that it’s flip flop season, you might just want to do it on a regular basis.
