Happy Father's Day 2022

Happy Father’s Day 2022

Happy Father’s Day 2022!  It’s June 19 and it’s time to celebrate Dad!  He raised you and loved you, now what will you do to celebrate Dad?

Appreciation

Just like we did for Mother’s Day, we need to appreciate our Father’s for who they are.  It’s easy to take things for granted, especially if we’ve always had something in our lives.  That is especially true for the people in our lives.  You may have always seen your parents as strong, healthy people.  Because of this, you may never have thought they could get sick or die.  The older you get, this may become clearer and clearer.  It’s better to realize this sooner rather than later because no one lives forever.

Don’t go another day without letting your Dad know how you feel.  Let him know how much you appreciate everything he’s done for you.  How has your Dad supported you?

  • Who taught you to ride a bike?
  • What about swimming – did your Dad teach you how to swim?  How awesome because now you can swim.
  • Did your Dad teach you how to use tools or to fix your car?
  • Maybe your Dad taught you how to paint – whether a room or a picture.
  • Did your Dad support you when you made a tough decision – perhaps that was to go to college or to not go to college.

Whether you were taught by your Dad to ride a bike, swim, fix your car, paint a room or otherwise supported you, your Dad needs to be appreciated, especially for this Happy Father’s Day 2022!

Happy Father’s Day 2022

So, on this Father’s Day, don’t forget the things that are easily forgotten about.  Make your Father feel wonderful and special.  Spend time with your Dad because that’s what they want.  Things don’t matter.  Material things don’t mean anything.  The experience is better than anything you can give them.  They only want to be with you.

My plan this year

In order to give my Dad a Happy Father’s Day 2022, I plan on spending the day with him.  I will probably bring some lunch over and make some cookies.  My Dad loves sweets, especially lately.  I’ll either make some chocolate chip or oatmeal berry cookies (my own special recipe).  All I care about is spending the day with him.

My Daddy is getting older now and I really don’t know how much time I have left with him.  Father’s Day is going to be a great day because I’ll be able to spend it with my Dad.  I love him so much and am so grateful for everything.
