Every March 17th, people everywhere celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  This year, it falls on a Friday.  How fun is that?  How are you planning on having a Happy St. Patrick’s Day?  And, do you know the history of St. Patty’s Day?

Origins of St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patty’s Day is a religious Holiday, always celebrated on 03/17.  St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and was actually a slave.  After his eventual escape, he taught religion to the people.  March 17 is the actual anniversary of the death of St. Patrick, according to History.com.  So, this is the date that we celebrate.

Plans for a Happy St. Patrick’s Day

What are your plans for today?  Most people, enjoy the following on St. Patty’s Day:

• Guiness Beer (or Murphey’s)
• Green beer
• Anything green
• Corned beef and cabbage
