Minty Skin Toner for Normal to Oily Skin

Why use a toner for skin?
Before we get into how to make the minty skin toner, let’s first talk about why you would want to use a toner. Each day when you clean your face, most people use warm water. This is good because it opens up the pores and allows you to deep clean your skin. But, after cleansing, it’s always a good idea to splash something cool over your face to close those pores back up. This is generally the step that most people skip.
What will you need?
With just a few ingredients, you can quickly and easily make your own toner that you can have on hand anytime!
Ingredients:
2 Mint tea bags – preferably organic
Water
Apple cider vinegar – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp.
Directions to make:
- Steep a couple of the herbal mint tea bags (make sure it’s herbal) in about a cup of boiling water for about 15 minutes.
- After steeping, throw away the tea bags and add a little bit of apple cider vinegar.
- Allow to cool.
Directions to use:
Using a clean cotton ball, dip into the freshener and wipe over face. Feel refreshed!
Mint has astringent properties which could help with oily skin or those prone to acne. Give this minty sin toner for normal to oily skin a try!
