30 Day Challenge Self Confidence
Yesterday marked the start of Suicide Prevention Month and I started a 30 day challenge Self Confidence. I feel like we can all raise our self-esteem or for those that don’t have any issues, to help someone else who is struggling. Do your part to help!
30 Day Challenge Self Confidence
Day one consisted of having a good cry. Why? Life gets hectic and life is hard. You may feel beaten down, unworthy, or defeated. Things pile up on you and you start to feel overwhelmed. That overwhelming feeling can spiral you into a depression when you don’t feel like you have control over your life.
Top 4 reasons you get depressed
- Rejection / Divorce / A break-up – this can take the form of a love rejection. Perhaps someone you love left you or you may have left a relationship that was no longer serving you. Either way, it hurts, and we lose ourselves and our confidence when this happens.
- Death – if you’ve lost someone close to you to a death and it is difficult to deal with, depression can set in.
- Work or school – sometimes we get overwhelmed by our jobs, our bosses, or our peers. Perhaps there is bullying going on and no one will help. Incidentally, I’ve been the victim of bullying. I reached out to people to help but no one did, and it was very difficult. They made it seem like nothing was happening when I knew it was and I knew of others that had the same issue with the person bullying. Everyone was afraid to speak up. Because I felt like I had no control over the situation, I was depressed, and it was really hard.
- Loss of a job – if you’ve ever lost your job and had difficulty finding another one, it can be difficult to overcome the feelings of worthlessness.
Of course, there are many other reasons we get depressed, and we need to break out of that habit. But, how?
