Whiteheads treatment

Do you have whiteheads and are you looking for whiteheads treatment?  Whether it’s on your nose or your chin, you can treat whiteheads easily.

Whiteheads on face

Do you frequently get whiteheads?  Whiteheads on face is common but whether it’s whiteheads on nose or whiteheads on chin, the treatment is the same.  Actually, whiteheads anywhere on your body can be treated the same.  And, the good news is that they normally go away quickly.

Why whiteheads happen

Generally, you get whiteheads because of accumulated dead skin and oil that ends up getting clogged in your pores.  This is why I always recommend exfoliating regularly to help keep them at bay.  By the simple act of exfoliating, you are helping your skin slough off the dead skin that is clogging those pores – especially if you have oily skin.

With oily skin, those dead skin cells get stuck in the oil, causing even more problems and that’s why a whiteheads treatment – and actually a prevention like exfoliation is recommended.

How often should you exfoliate?

Most people experience whiteheads because they have oily skin so if you have oily skin, I suggest exfoliating 3-5 times per week.  Can you exfoliate too much?  The answer here is yes.  You don’t want to overdo it.  Start out with just three times a week and see how your skin responds.  If you want to exfoliate 4 or 5 times a week after seeing how your skin reacts, then do it.  But, if it seems like your skin is getting irritated, cut back.

Whiteheads treatment

Other than keeping up with your skin care routine, including exfoliating, a great option for whiteheads treatment is a spot treatment.  You can buy over the counter benzoyl peroxide creams that work great to dry up excess oil.  Please don’t put a ton of it on, though.  I get that you want to dry out the pimple but if you overdo it, you will dry out your skin and this will cause irritation AND the overproduction of oil to compensate for what you removed.  This means you will get more pimples and whiteheads.
