2 Benefits of Sweating out toxins
There are 2 benefits of sweating out toxins because we all know that we have toxins in our bodies. Read on to find out!
Toxic body
Is your body toxic? We all have some level of toxicity in us. Whether it’s from our daily habits like the foods we eat or the stuff we put on our bodies or because of the environment, we all do have toxins floating in our bodies. Heck, we can even say we’re saturated with toxins – depending on our habits or where we live.
I don’t say it this way to freak you out but it’s something we need to understand. Knowing is the first part of doing something about a problem. We can’t get away from the environmental toxins as easily as we can control the stuff we eat or put on our bodies (i.e. like make-up remover or deodorant). The good news is that sweating toxins out of body is something we can do!
Can you Sweat out Toxins?
Does sweating really eliminate toxins? You bet it does! Our skin can help detoxify the body. When we sweat, those unwanted chemicals are removed from our tissues. And, it doesn’t matter how you sweat it out. Here are just a few suggestions:
- Go running (or, if you can’t run, walk briskly – enough to get a sweat going)
- Pick a machine at the gym that can work up a sweat for you
- Maybe try a sauna
- If it’s super hot outside, sweat it out in the outdoors
Always remember to drink plenty of water so that you don’t get dehydrated. Make sure it’s clean water – with nothing else. An alternative is electrolyte water – but not the commercial, chemical filled – orange, blue, or green hydration sports drinks. Instead, make your own DIY electrolyte water.

2 Benefits of Sweating out Toxins
In my experience, having too much toxin in our bodies can cause migraines and unusually heavy bleeding during your menstrual cycle. That’s why I believe these are the 2 benefits of sweating out toxins!
Migraines
I used to constantly get migraines until I started realizing some of the triggers. A big culprit for me was pesticides in foods as well as hidden MSG. I would try to eat healthy but I didn’t think much about organic vs. conventional. I didn’t think it made a difference. Plus, it can be expensive. However, I started to wonder if some of those pesticides were actually giving me some problems. So, I started to gradually change my eating.
Part of that was buying organic fruits and vegetables more often AND buying less packaged / processed foods. All in all, I was eating healthier. I also had to take a look at when I was going out to eat and where. Some foods contain MSG which is a big problem. I noticed that certain restaurants would advertise that they did not add MSG. Have you ever seen signs in the windows at some restaurants that said: ‘No MSG added’? Well, that just means that they didn’t add it in themselves but if an ingredient already contained it, they are bending the truth quite a bit.
When I realized this was happening, I knew where I had to stop going to eat. I now make better choices of where I go and of course, what I get when I go to a restaurant.

Fibroids
If you suffer from unusually heavy bleeding during your menstrual cycle, you may have fibroids and you should see your doctor. It’s very common but so devastating. Our diets and our lifestyles could be a major part of the reason. I decided to stop synthetic hormone birth control for this reason. Of course, doctors will tell you that you need to be on hormones because it’s a major reason why you could have developed fibroids and / or why you are bleeding so much. I say that it was because of the synthetic hormones that caused part of the problem.

Conclusion
So, these are the 2 benefits of sweating out toxins. I’m not saying that running a marathon will rid you of all your toxicity. What I am saying is that there are benefits to sweating, exercising, and of course, eating healthy and watching what you put in and on your body. I am committed to removing toxins from my life as much as I can. Sweat it out and then remember to always cleanse your skin properly.
