Signs of liver problems
You may not realize you have liver problems but it’s important to recognize signs of liver problems early. That insignificant headache or sudden weight gain can be signs your liver is having issues.
Spotting signs of liver problems
The body is amazing but it is really complicated. We may have a recurring headache that we’re attributing to stress or some other factor. There could be other issues we are having that we don’t associate with our liver but there are several signs you need to watch out for.

Signs of liver issues
Here are some of the common signs of liver issues. Do you recognize any of these in your life?
- Recurring headaches
- Insomnia
- Skin issues like acne or even eczema
- Mood swings
- Inability to focus
- Abdominal fat and having a hard time getting rid of it.
- Inability to deal with stress

The problem with individual remedies
Generally, when we have a headache, we take an aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen. And, it helps most of the time. When we can’t sleep, we take a sleeping pill or melatonin and we kind of get some sleep.

We have skin issues so we dab some cream on our faces and call it a day. If we’re moody, we attribute it to PMS and we have a glass of wine to calm our nerves and get through the rest of the evening.
We might also have a piece of chocolate cake for dessert a couple times a week and we explain the abdominal fat away. Minor stressors happen to everyone but we’ll just have another glass of wine because it’s just too much.

This is the problem with individual remedies – it’s just a band-aid. We think we’re fixing the problem but we’re not dealing with the root cause. The root cause could be liver issues but no one talks about that. We only talk about band-aids and then it turns into menstrual issues that we don’t realize are inter-related.

Our hormones
Hormones play a huge role in the overall well-being of our bodies / health. If we don’t have the right levels of hormones (at the right time), our bodies revolt by causing us problems like the headaches, PMS issues, and others. These problems can expand into further issues like unusually heavy periods and even fibroids. These can be signs of liver problems.

For our bodies to function well, we need the right hormones at the right time. And, it all needs to be flushed through the body on a regular basis. So, if you aren’t having a bowel movement on a regular basis, heed the warning! (By the way, if you are having trouble in this area, see Does Celery Juice make you poop.)
It’s time to start recognizing the liver problems and not putting a band-aide on them.
