There is a lot of fiber in celery – 6% of your Daily Recommended Allowance. So, why does celery juice make you poop? Well, fiber is so good for you and your digestive system. Without fiber, our digestive systems become sluggish, and we become constipated. That’s never fun. It’s important to have a diet high in fiber so that it flushes out the fat and toxins out of our body. So, even though celery juice make you poop, it’s a good thing and it shouldn’t deter you from drinking it.

Other benefits of celery juice that I love:
There is no fat in celery, 0.7 grams of protein, 40 mg of calcium, .2 mg of iron and 263 mg of potassium. For me this is an amazing vegetable for what I need. Lastly, celery juice carbs are very low. I like that there’s no fat – always a plus. The 40 mg of calcium is also a huge benefit because, as a woman, you need a lot of calcium for those bones. I don’t want to break them as I get older so the more calcium I can get now, the better.

Also, the potassium. I’ve been using a calorie counter app and when I put my foods in, I notice I don’t get enough potassium in my diet so that is what got me started on the juicing celery.
Plus, there are celery juice benefits for hair. There is a lot of water in celery and vitamin A – both of which are good for you. The water keeps our heads hydrated so we don’t dry out our scalps. Plus, it helps our hair to grow. If you feel like your hair doesn’t grow well, try adding celery to your diet. There are lots of celery juice benefits for hair loss too.

There are celery juice benefits for eyes and kidneys. If your kidneys are healthy, your eyes should be too. Celery, including and especially the leaves, are high in lutein. Lutein is great for your eye health. As you can see there are so many benefits to celery.

Note: celery juice doesn’t last that long once you’ve made it. It’s best to drink it right away rather than making a big batch and storing it for a while.

It’s called Gingery-Mint. It contains cucumber, mint, ginger (a huge favorite of mine) and you guessed it – Celery!
