Aging skin care
Every day, we’re aging. And this means that our skin is also growing older. Aging skin care is necessary from as early an age as possible, in order to look our best and youngest!
Children / Pre-teen and Teen skin care
It may seem like you don’t necessarily have to be concerned with skin care when you’re young but think about it. As a child, if your mother didn’t put sunscreen on you, you wouldn’t have done it. In your pre-teen and teenage years, there’s a lot going on inside and outside of our bodies. Teenagers are going through hormonal changes and many times you can see the effects of this on their faces (i.e. acne). They buy multitudes of products trying to combat the pimples. Again, sun protection isn’t even a thought unless our parents made us do it.

The roaring 20’s
When we finally hit our twenties, we think we’re in the clear. Our skin problems should no longer be happening…yet, it is. We still continue to break out. Plus, hormones are still changing – yes, even in our 20’s. We also start to lose the thickness of our skin in this era. The collagen factory is much more sluggish than it was prior to this. This means that our skin starts to look older by our mid 20’s. You may not realize it because you have so much going on in life, but it’s happening – even underneath, where we can’t see it on the surface.

30’s and 40’s
Wrinkles! Ugh! Our skin starts to lose water. You’re just too busy to even notice – or do anything about it!

Aging skin care
As we get older, our skin doesn’t regenerate as quickly. That’s why it may look dull – especially the more wrinkles you have. Your skin may look dull and flaky. You start seeing age marks on various places on your body. You have greater sensitivity to the sun – which means you may burn easier. This leads me to the most important part of your skin care regimen: sun protection.
The more you can protect your skin from the harmful effects of the harsh UV rays, the better and younger you will look and feel. This is the best skin care for aging skin – sunscreen!!! Don’t get alligator skin – start as early as you can to wear sunscreen. Otherwise, you won’t like the results of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen.
It’s all about aging skin care. The better you take care of your skin when you’re younger, the longer you will look younger. You don’t want flakey, dry, or wrinkled skin. Eventually it does happen to us – it’s natural – but between eating right, staying hydrated, and using aging skin care steps, you can keep the aging from getting away from you.
