Endocrine Disruptors in your bathroom
As I write more and more about endocrine disruptors, I constantly see headlines in the news about the latest products being recalled. In order to help our hormones, we need to get these endocrine disruptors in your bathroom out!
What are endocrine disruptors?
Endocrine disruptors or hormone disruptors are those things (chemicals) inside of products we use on our skin or touch in packaging that mimic natural hormones. These are troublesome because it causes our bodies to think we have an adequate amount of hormones when we really don’t. Therefore, your body will act like it has enough, when it really doesn’t.

It can cause PMS, unusually heavy periods and fibroids (just to name a few). If you think you’re moody because you’re on your period, you may actually be moody because of the endocrine disruptors in your bathroom! And, here’s even more evidence – this one related to hair straighteners, which (according to the article) can cause uterine cancer.

The latest recall
On 12/20, I saw this article about another Proctor & Gamble recall. It’s the 2nd one in a month that P&G has communicated and this time, it has concerns about 30 aerosol hair products. Here is the full list for your review. Please read it carefully and go through your bathroom to see if you have any of these. You should stop using them immediately.

Benzene – is it an endocrine disruptor?
Yes, it absolutely is. And, it’s linked to cancer and can affect your eyes, skin and nervous system. It is very dangerous and one more reason that we, as consumers, need to take our health back. Unfortunately, big companies care more about their bottom line. While I’m glad that P&G recalled the product, I question why benzene was even put into their skin care line in the first place. Please read your labels and if there is something that is on the list of endocrine disruptors, don’t use it.
Endocrine disruptors in your bathroom are very dangerous, causing all sorts of problems, including cancer. Take back your health today so that you can live a healthier, happier life.
