If you are in your thirties, you may have started to think about wrinkles.  Maybe it’s a fleeting thought like it was for me at the time or maybe you are already in your forties.  If that’s the case, forehead wrinkles may be on your mind.

When we see wrinkles, we think ‘old’.  But, not all wrinkles are bad, right?  When it’s on our faces, it is.  We want to look and stay young for as long as possible.  If there is anything we can do to keep them away longer, all the better.  So, how can you get rid of forehead wrinkles?

What to do about wrinkles

It isn’t as much about getting rid of wrinkles as it is about preventing them.  However, if you are already dealing with wrinkles, you want to know how to minimize them.  When it comes down to it, any kind of wrinkles are bad – like crow’s feet.

First, let’s discuss prevention of wrinkles.  The best thing you can do is to stay out of the sun and to drink plenty of water.  If I can give any advice on preventing those forehead wrinkles, it would be to do these two things.  And, whenever you do venture out during the day, please, please, please, wear sunscreen.  Sunscreen will help minimize and can prevent any damage you may get from those UV rays.  Use the right sunscreen and your face will thank you.

Next, getting rid of wrinkles.  You won’t necessarily be able to get rid of wrinkles but you can help to minimize them.  If you’re already dealing with wrinkles, continuing to hydrate is important.  But, another thing that is helpful is to exfoliate and to moisturize.  When we exfoliate, we remove dead skin cells that get trapped in the crevices of those wrinkles.  Once those dead skin cells are removed, your face looks less dull – brighter even.  That alone minimizes the look of wrinkles.

Moisturizing is also key.  You don’t need fancy moisturizers.  I have oily skin and have always been really careful about the types of oil I use on my skin.  For me, I use carrot seed oil and sea buckthorn oil.  Other options are sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and broccoli seed oil.  All of these are lighter and won’t clog pores.  Vegetable glycerin is also a good choice because it’s a natural humectant – meaning that it will draw moisture to your skin.

Aging beautifully

We’re all getting older and there isn’t anything we can do about that.  We can, however, age gracefully and beautifully by actively taking care of our bodies and our skin.  The better we do that, the more youthful we will look.  It also doesn’t hurt to eat well – lots of veggies for the added vitamins and minerals.
