Run fast!

Just got me some new running shoes and I’m super excited to try them out.  For me, I like this brand because they fit me well.  You may have another brand that you like.  I’m not endorsing anyone here – use the shoe that your feet like.  And, boy am I gonna run fast!  😉

Running helps me clear my head, helps me stay in shape, and gets me out of the house.  Those are just some of the reasons I like to run – although I do a lot of other exercise as well.  But, with running, I do have to take care of my feet more because I tend to get more calluses when I run.  It’s almost bathing suit season so I have to make sure my body – including my feet – are in tip top shape.

After my run, I like to have an electrolyte smoothie – but I make my own.  Get the recipe here.  It’s much better than commercial sports’ drinks because it doesn’t have the added sugars, preservatives, and all the other ‘junk’ in it.

How do you keep your runners feet from thick calluses?  Are you in track and field and have this problem?  Or, do you just run long distances?  What have you found to be the best way to remove calluses?
