Broccoli seed oil
Broccoli seed oil is one of those oils – it’s a great oil for oily skin. I started to use this oil recently and it is amazing. It is a very light oil and absorbs really well. I put it on at night and my skin feel so soft. I can’t imagine never using it again – it is that good.
Essential oils
There are several different essential oils that are helpful for oily skin. Some you may have heard about, like lavender essential oil. While I do like these oils, I don’t generally use them on my face because they can be irritating and that’s the last thing we need. I have used these for hand creams, salves and room sprays. I enjoy the smell and I don’t have to deal with any photosensitivity.
Garden variety oils
There are other oils that sink into your skin well. These are oils that come from plants. Here are some suggestions:
- Argan oil – I like this oil but I use it sparingly.
- Jojoba oil – this is another favorite of mine.
- Coconut oil – while I love this oil for hand creams, I do not use it on my oily skin because it will cause more breakouts.
- Olive oil – same as coconut oil, don’t use on your face because it can cause pimples.
As you can see, there are several types of oils for oily skin. They not only help keep your skin soft but also moisturized.
