Spending money on skincare
Did you know you can actually save money on skincare by understanding your skin and buying the right products for your skin type? If you don’t have insurance or can’t afford to see a dermatologist, you may not need to see a doctor for every little pimple. Below I’ll tell you how to save money on skincare. First, let’s go over the different levels of acne.
Levels of Acne
Depending on how back your acne is, you may not need to see a doctor for your blemishes. If you understand some basic rules about acne, you can manage your own breakouts. So here are the Levels or Grades of Acne:
- Mild acne – this is your basic whiteheads and blackheads. You have a few here and there – mainly on your face. Yes, they are annoying but they are still considered mild.
- Moderate – You have papules and pustules. No one wants acne anywhere on their face but you may be surprised to find out how you can treat these at home and save money on skincare.
- Moderate to severe – So, here you have all the signs of the moderate acne – meaning papules and pustules but it’s anywhere on your body. So, this includes bacne, cysts, and nodules.
- Severe – Here, pimples hurt and there are a lot of them. You have a mix of nodules, papules, and pustules.
Save money on skincare
There are a lot of skincare solutions out there but for mild to moderate acne, you would do well to follow a very easy skin care regimen, which will save you lots of money.

- Wash your face with a gentle cleanser two times a day.
- Only wash (actually rinse) your face again if (and only if) dirty or sweaty, i.e. from playing sports or playing in the mud – lol.
- Exfoliate regularly using your Nutt So Ruff scrub bar – depending on skin type. Order your Nutt So Ruff bar today.

If you suffer from either mild or moderate acne, using spot treatments can be helpful. And, try not to pick or squeeze your pimples. See more about how to pop a pimple the right way so you don’t damage your skin.

For more severe acne (those in the ‘Moderate to Severe’ and ‘Severe’ categories), it’s best to see your doctor / dermatologist to get help. You don’t want to damage your skin by getting the root of the problem.
