What is inflammation anyway? Generally, inflammation is what happens in your body when you have an infection or an injury, according to harvard.edu. It’s not the only way, though. Inflammation can also happen when you have toxicity in your body. This can happen when we are overwhelmed, worried, or stressed. This can turn into any number of mental health issues that can get worse if we don’t take care of it right away. You need to reduce inflammation in the body so that you can feel good and look good.
Inflammation due to toxicity can also happen from the foods we eat. For example, when we eat processed foods, this toxic overload can lead to any number of problems in our body. It happens slowly and we don’t realize it’s happening. Another example is pesticide laden foods. That’s what brings me to answer the question: ‘Is #2 causing you problems’.

No, I’m not talking about that #2. I’m actually talking about #2 on the EWG’s Dirty Dozen list: Spinach! Spinach falls at #2 of the most pesticide laden foods. If you don’t eat organic spinach, you could be exposing you and your family to pesticides – AKA toxins.

Inflammation can show up in our bodies in a number of ways. Here are some of the most common but remember, this isn’t an exhaustive list. If you aren’t feeling ‘right’, you likely have inflammation that is causing your problems.
- Headaches / migraines
- Brain fog
- Skin issues like acne, such as acne in your 30s or 40s
- Heavy periods or Fibroids
- Inability to deal with stress
- Insomnia
In fact, these are all signs of a toxic colon. And, it can have something to do with your diet. Eating foods that have been treated with pesticides can be to blame. So, again…Is #2 causing you problems?
