Choose this deodorant
If you’ve been struggling to find a deodorant that doesn’t contain toxic substances, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve done all the work for you. Choose this deodorant and you’ll be staying away from endocrine disruptors.
Endocrine disruptors in deodorant
Many deodorants contain glycol, which is an endocrine disruptor. Endocrine disruptors mimic your natural hormones, confusing your body into thinking it has more than it actually does. When this happens, your body can cause you problems.

These problems can include:
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Migraines / headaches
- Fibroids
- Mood swings
- PMS
None of these symptoms are enjoyable. In fact, we don’t often attribute them to the products we use. That’s the scary part about it. The toxins in our everyday products can be causing these problems, especially with the amounts we are absorbing (or ingesting, in some cases). To free yourself of some possible adverse health effects, you need to find a deodorant that does not contain the toxic substances that contribute to these problems. So choose this deodorant!
Choose this deodorant
One of my favorite deodorants is: Beauty Heroes Violets are Blue because it does not contain aluminum or phthalates. Instead, it contains magnesium and sunflower oil as the active ingredients. It doesn’t contain any baking soda, which can be irritating to some people. So, if you’re looking to switch things up with your beauty regimen, try this deodorant.
It is on the pricey side, costing about $7 / ounce so it can be cost prohibitive to some. If this is the case for you, try making your own deodorant or make other changes in your skin care products to compensate for the use of one that might have some toxins. The goal is to minimize the amount of toxins you use and thus, accumulate in your body.
