Healing leaky gut
If you have inflammation in your body, healing leaky gut is 100% necessary. Here’s the thing – you can periodically detox but if you don’t pay attention to what you are putting in and on your body, you will continue to have issues. Don’t just detox, make a change.
Detox to heal leaky gut
If you suffer from migraines, PMS, or other menstrual issues, healing the inflammation and leaky gut is imperative. In order to do that, you do need to detox. In order to do that, you need to start eliminating certain foods. There are just some foods that are common causes of inflammation and these would be the first to start eliminating. Generally, though, you might already have a feeling which foods are causing you problems.

Milk / Diary
Milk and other dairy products are one of the biggest culprits of inflammation in the body. Many people are lactose intolerant and this causes problems in our digestive systems. Unless you like feeling bloated and gassy all the time, it is time to eliminate this from your diet. And, if you’re like me, you may love milk and other dairy like yogurt and ice cream. But if these are causing you tummy troubles, you need to make the decision to do an elimination diet, starting with eliminating all diary. You’ll know pretty quickly if removing this from your diet has made you feel better.

Note: I have said before that I love milk (and ice cream). And, I have said before that organic dairy products are best. Also, choosing raw milk (milk that hasn’t been pasteurized or homogenized and thus, still contains lactase) may be an option for you. You can always first eliminate the conventional dairy, see how you feel, then introduce raw milk / milk products to see if your body reacts negatively or positively. This is what I have done and it has worked for me. You make the choice. Either way, milk / dairy is the most common for causing problems so start with this.

Soy
This one may be another hard one to eliminate because soy is hidden in some foods. Since soy is especially bad for women (think heavy periods), cutting this product (or any product containing soy) out will benefit you. Remember, read food labels!

Sugar
Many people have a sugar addiction. Start eliminating all the processed, sugar rich foods and you may notice a sharp increase in your energy levels and your mood.

Hair and skin care products
Please read your labels because so many body care products contain fragrances or other toxic substances. The unfortunate thing is that we don’t realize the ill effects they are having on us. Use ‘clean’ products that you can purchase just about anywhere now or make your own.
Healing leaky gut
You must do an elimination diet to see what foods trigger your problems. Once you know, it will be hard to go back to these foods or products (I promise you because you will feel so much better). You do need to keep up with it. Why would you continue to eat excess sugar or put toxic shampoo on your body when you notice how much better you feel when you don’t? Doing this will help your leaky gut which will put you further on the road to feeling better faster. Healing leaky gut isn’t hard but it does take commitment. I know the motivation is there for you because I know you want to feel better.
