Turmeric for skin care benefits
Turmeric is one of those spices you may or may not have ever had. In fact, you may not have known it was used in a food that you ate. For example, turmeric is often used in Indian dishes.

I happen to love Indian food but using turmeric at home was something I needed to get used to. This is because it has a distinct flavor, especially when used by itself and it took a little getting used to for me. Initially, I wasn’t keen to the idea but turmeric for skin benefits really intrigued me and here’s why…

Turmeric benefits…
Did you know that using turmeric for skin helps in the following ways?
- Fights free radicals
- Helps with sun damage
- Anti-inflammatory – yep, it fights inflammation!
- Saves your collagen

What an amazing spice! I figured if it helped in all of these areas, why wouldn’t I use it? Try adding turmeric to your scrambled eggs in the morning. Alternatively, I’ve roasted cauliflower in the oven with a little salt, pepper, and turmeric. I’ve even heard of people putting a little bit in their cup of coffee in the morning. I’m not sure I can get used to my coffee with turmeric but putting it in foods little by little is a great way to start.
Give it a try but start with a small amount. Once you get used to the flavor, you may just find yourself adding more. I’ll bet that the added skin care benefits of using turmeric will push you to use turmeric for skin!

If you still can’t bring yourself to use it in your cooking, try turmeric supplements. One to try is: Whole Body MegaFood Turmeric Curcumin or turmeric tea form Numi Tea.
