Xenoestrogens list
Looking for a xenoestrogens list? Know which chemicals act like natural hormones in your body so you know what to stay away from.
What is a xenoestrogen?
A xenoestrogen is something ‘unnatural’ and therefore, synthetic, that acts like our own natural hormones. When these substances are in our bodies, the body can’t tell the difference between the natural hormone and the fake one. For example, if your body thinks that you have too much estrogen, you could be more prone to cancer (breast and uterine cancer), endometriosis, and fibroids. Estrogen dominance is a big problem and it’s getting even bigger because these xenoestrogens are everywhere. If we know where they are, we can avoid them.
Xenoestrogens list
So, where do we find these guys? Here is your xenoestrogens list that you can burn into your memory so you can stay away from these things:
- BPA – you’ve likely heard of BPA, or Bisphenol A. It’s in plastic like water bottles, can liners and even store receipts. Use your own reusable water bottle (ideally glass). If you do buy canned goods, look for ones that say they are BPA free – although, buying fresh is better than canned so strive for fresh foods. Lastly, stop taking store receipts. So much is digital now, why take the BPA paper copy?
- Teflon – I’ve stopped using Teflon years ago because of the chemicals it releases. Find good quality, heavy aluminum plans or cast iron.
- Styrofoam – you may have heard that Styrofoam takes 500 years to decompose but did you know that it also contains xenoestrogens?
- Beauty products – this one is near and dear to my heart. When I realized how bad conventional products were for me, I stopped buying the bad ones. Now I make my own DIY dryer sheets and DIY laundry detergent. I don’t use conventional nail polish and I obviously make my own skin care items. It’s cheaper to make your own and you’ll be healthier for it.
- Non-organic meat and dairy products. I know we can’t always buy organic because it can be expensive so we do have to choose, but when you can, buy organic.

Detox your body
Now that you know the xenoestrogens list, you can start to stay away from these bad guys. It would also be a good idea to try to rid your body of the toxins that it has accumulated over time. But, how do you do this? One is with the food you eat, like these 6 foods to help detox.
When we eat raw foods like lettuce, sprouts, and cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, even broccoli sprouts, and cabbage), we help to detox our bodies. These foods contain a natural chemical that let these xenoestrogens be removed from our bodies so that we have a more balanced hormonal system. We already know healthy, raw foods are good for us but we often don’t realize why. Learn how to grow broccoli sprouts.

When these foods are consumed, they really help to flush out the bad stuff. We can stay away from the list of xenoestrogens but because we live in an imperfect world, they will still be around us. Avoiding them as much as we can is the first step. The next is to eat the proper foods so that we can eliminate these substances.
This will help our bodies and our minds – it’s all connected. These trapped chemical toxins cause so many problems, including problems to our mental health. When we can’t think clearly, things just don’t go our way and we feel out of control. We’re more susceptible to other issues. Take control of your health and your life. You’ll be glad you did!
