Support gut healing
If you’re trying to fix your leaky gut so that you feel less bloating, you’re in the right place! Here are my 3 favorite ways to support gut healing! It’s not very hard either.
Why Support gut healing?
Since hormonal issues are related to leaky gut, it would do you a lot of good to fix your gut. Between the gas and the bloating, the fatigue and even the runny nose, you’ll feel ‘a world’ better to make some changes to your diet. When we get tired of our heavy periods, period poops and migraines or a whole host of other hormonal issues, we know it’s time to do something.

While making a change is hard, deciding to do something about it after all the suffering makes it just a little bit easier.

So, once you’ve made the decision, you might be wondering how to support the healing of your gut. Well, here are my 3 favorite ways!
3 ways to help your gut heal
- Eat ginger – ginger is great. Ginger helps with inflammation and can be soothing to your gut. Whenever I have heartburn, I don’t reach for the antacids, I actually take some ginger. You can either eat fresh ginger root or you can take ginger in capsule form. Both are effective. It’s great to support gut healing. Taking ginger capsules are easier because you can have them on hand at any time whereas fresh ginger root may not always be available. Note: when taking ginger capsules, make sure you drink at least 8 ounces of water; otherwise, your throat may feel a burning sensation – which is obviously uncomfortable, and you don’t want to add to your heartburn.
- Drink bone broth – this may not sound like the best or most appetizing solution but bone broth is so healing but the ingredients help to rebuild the inside of your gut. You can buy organic bone broth or you can make your own. Hint: you can also use it in your soups to get your bone broth.
- Probiotics – so good for your gut. There are probiotic supplements that you can take or you can drink kombucha. If you’ve never had kombucha, you are in for a treat because it is so delicious. Plus, you can make your own kombucha at home with just a few supplies – all available online or even locally. One of the weirdest things you will need to make your own kombucha is a SCOBY but it’s nothing to be afraid of! Lastly, you can also make your own probiotic ginger beer – see my recipe here! If none of these appeal to you, try eating sauerkraut or pickles.
